    2. Colombia is a beautiful, talented and wonderful country but it put face to the biggest social problem, the bad education. Colombia has a long history with war, drug trafficking and the political corruption, and these aspects had been made so difficult the progress and a good development in the country, but above all this, a country that is not educated is a country unable to decide. Unfortunately, corrupt politicians take advantage of people´s ignorance and they do the impossible to get votes and most people fall in that blackmail, in that case people permit this politicians to take control from public resources and here we have a perfect storm, they take an important part of education budget that should be enjoy by public schools and universities. In addition, when a country has a bad government, they do not mind doing well to people. Equally important, people who are not educated usually do not realize the important of environment and they do not use resources in the correct way, also they allow companies to destroy ecosystems. As a conclusion, the absence of education or the bad education creates many other problems that are connect between them and with the country´s situation and this not enable us to improve the conditions to find new opportunities.

  2. What is the biggest social problem?
Corruption is as bad for a country as cancer is for the human body. Cancer begins with a couple of infected cells and if cancer is not detected on time, it could affect an entire organ or a system. Finally, after a few months, the person can die. Something similar occurs with corruption.
In our society, people prefer not going to vote instead of using their right of democracy due to the corruption. People think that all politicians are corrupt in different ways, but at the end they are the same and want the same, money. As cancer, if a little part of government gets corrupt, an entire group of people and situations gets wrong, for example, in 2017 the anticorruption public prosecutor Gustavo Moreno, was sentenced by a judge for corruption, this country went down in flames. What would be the world that our kids will have?
To conclude, corruption leaves us a big problem to solve, we could begin in our homes, making good decisions based always on the truth or just trying to be a little more honest.

    1. As you know, corruption is a problem that has transpired throughout history, since people have never been aware of the importance of being considerate, serious, modest and honest with decisions, so then people are complaining about through thick and thin of the actions that the rulers take for our country.
the question is: how to fight this cancer that our society is consuming day by day? The answer is simple because the treatment of this disease is for the new generation of young people to put up a resistance that allows youth empowerment to new leadership roles free of corruption, always starring in love and respect to end those dislike that our people have had to experience society, to stop responding to the government with the same currency that is what they want, which is the best thing since sliced bread to end that image that has not allowed us to grow, but all the ball is in your court.

    2. I am agree with your ideas Erika, the corruption starts in the little daily attitudes: don´t make the lines, swindle, suborn, and others. We need to create a civic culture support in respect and equity, from childhood to adulthood. Colombia has a long history with corruption and this has developed many other problems, some families have had the power for a long time and they do everything to keep it. But from the country that have had cost an arm and a leg, it have had put up with wars, drug traffic, a really bad health system, still some people`s life are risk in for this plague.
To finish, I would like make an invitation, to reconsider how much responsible we are when carry out our right to vote.

  3. Processed food can be one of the worst problems our society has been dealing with and we don't even know it.
The first problem with processed food is their altered substances to make them tastier, to be preserved in long periods of time without getting rotten. Of course, this is not case of all the food we currently consume, some vegetables and fruits are not processed with chemicals and other stuff. But most of it does.
This can lead to some healthy problems, such as obesity, higher cancer risks and sugar addiction. Many nutritionists recommend eating non-processed products or highly processed food, even if you wanted to kick the habit and eat more healthier, it is almost impossible to remove all heavily processed food in your diet.
To start eating healthier we got to realists with us and follow realistic goals such as cooking more at our home, buying less instant food and last but not least start slowly changing your routine to make it easier.

    1. I really agree with you Gabriela. Since I was 13 years old, I began to realize that many people had similar illnesses at specific ages. I started looking for information about what are the main causes of most diseases and I discovered that illneses related with digestion, blood, bones and other important organs of the body are being afected by processed food. And it is a really worried problem because as you have said we don't realize that we are being poisoned by big companies that just have an own benefit. I have tought that a good solution would be to start learning and searching sertain information about the food and the products that we consume. Then we should avoid the things that we have learned by seaching, that are bad for our body. It would help us to get a good habit that will improve our health. Finally when we have eliminate the habit of eatting a lot of prossesed food we just have to continue doing it to show the companies that we will never eat that product again, so they will have to change the composition of the food to retriebe clients.

    2. I find very interesting the problem that you raise because although we do not pay attention, poor nutrition increasingly affects us and is even more present in our trade day after day, often the main problem of high consumption of this processed food is that although we know it hurts us, we consider it the most delicious however we can notice more and more children with signs of obesity at a very young age, so much so that it is worrying, and I fully support your argument that with the food we have is almost impossible to get all the bad products to achieve a good diet. However a possible solution would be to base the diet mostly only on protein, vegetables and fruits because although there is also genetic manipulation, they are the few food groups that do not harm our health.

  4. The biggest social problem is the addiction to technology. Adictions are a really big problem nowadays, mainly the addiction to technology and specifically to the media. We know that sometimes we need those tools because we are supposed to be a race that can communicate in many ways. It is because of that reason, that we have created social media as an easier way to talk and express. But the problem arises when people start to use those system excessively. Most of the times, we spend more time in front of the computer or the cellphone than trying to meet new people or having a real contact with another subject. This situation makes that in a matter of time we will not be able to socialize in a real context, but just in a virtual one. The biggest problem of this, is that as the time passes by we will be lossing our sensitivity because of the lack of human contact. When it finally happens, for me, we are going to be a very cruel species. Even, we can say that we will not be humans. Because the most important part of a human is that we can think and feel. But if we get used to thalk with people more by virtual than real way, we would be losing one of our biggest bases. To conclude, I would say that is true that is really important to communicate with other people in different ways, but we can not replace the real interaction with a person by a virtual one that does not give us everything about sensitivity.

    1. The problem the addiction to technology is true and it is classified as mental illness. For to avoid, the doctor recommends to digital detoxification where the person should not use the cellphone for 15 minute and as advanced the time, we could increase the time in day. It is practice helping to recover your real life. Additionally, you should have a wristwatch and you must answer the messages at a specified time.

  5. The biggest social problem from my point of view is related to the lack of awareness and respect not only for human beings but for living beings problem we have today, why?, because the pollution or the amount of garbage and contamination that we have in our lakes, seas and oceans every day; maybe until pigs fly man will notice the damage he does to all natural ecosystems and himself, with these containers, plastic bags, tetra-pack boxes, and more inventions that don't decompose and only affect or damage the place where they end up, about pollution I think the quality of air we inhale every day speaks for itself, every day get develop a lot of new respiratory ilnesses because there are more and more cars, buses, trucks, etc, which do not stop generating pollution and toxic or harmful gases to our atmosphere, man thinks he has the world in his hands and that everything is like a piece of cake, but when we see the real consequences and want to fix our disaster, it will cost an arm and a leg to solve all the damage we do to our home, our planet.

  6. Problem: Corruption.
Colombia is one of the most corrupt countries in the world, something not to feel really happy or proud about. But it is our reality and we need to talk about it and face it.
Every year, Colombians loose around 18.400 million dollars, which ends up in the bank accounts of corrupt people, instead of invest all that money in progress for our people and our country. And that is why corruption is a social issue.
What could we do with 18.400 million dollars if was not stolen? We could invest it on education for our children and young people, moreover we could also help poor people and recover our economy.
The best of both worlds, would be to find a cure for corruption, but what would that be? Death penalty? Well, some countries like China and North Korea have implemented death penalty when they find a person guilty for corruption or bribery. We could do the same and see if it works, so people would be afraid of commit this kind of crimes.
A new generation of Colombians will start to lead us soon, let’s keep faith on this new generation to find a root solution.
    Hang in there!

  7. The biggest social problem that Colombia presents is corruption, as a matter of fact, it has been traced in the history of Colombia, it is something that has left many stories marked with blood of those who have sought the clean path and it is sad. The government always promises the change to the Colombian people, showing a profile of justice, serious, intelligent, considerate, which has always been a farce. Completely groundless they defend themselves from public opinion with excuses that they didn't know about bad movements or that Great growth economic invested in other projects that didn't need it. To change the direction of our country we must learn from the wise words of Jaime Garzon when he said that if we young people do not take the reins of the country nobody will do it for us is like as a matter of fact i hate the injustices that everyone was silent of this country due to the situation because of how unfriendly and rude it is, we need to think like Jaime permits us to work and warn young people to learn and not continue repeating the history. It is time to make the change.

  8. I think Colombia's biggest social problem is corruption. Many people in the government manipulate and pull strings with outthink in the community, that they must govern with truth and thinking in the well-being and not only in their own well-being because if the community are in good conditions all the country can have a good progress . Corruption also produce other social problem like social inequality this occurs when we pay taxes we are giving the money to the government and only a small percentage of this money is used to improve the country, their security and that all the people have the same rights and the same opportunities of job and study so in this case the percentage of children that don’t have education will decrease and if we have an educate country the quality of life will improve.
In conclusion if we can finalize corruption in the country many of the other problems will disappear and we can improve in all aspects and have more opportunities and a very quality of life.

    1. I agree with you Karen, especially when you mention inequality and the bad administration of the taxes we all must pay. Which is actually getting out of hand.
We could be a better country if all the taxes we pay ended up on improvements for our country and not ended up stolen by very few corrupt politicians.
I believe we as citizens should ask for an efficient administration of Colombia's resources and we need to ask for stonger controls that guarantee the money is not stolen... Better late than never, right?

  9. In my opinion , the biggest social problem is the corruption in the political parties and in the congress,as a consequence more of the economic budget gets into the pockets of the people that manage to get y them by doing briberies or other crimes, instead of doing motorways, flats, houses,or improving the country GPD. In addition, people have guilty in some parts in this point because what they select as a president was clearly shown that he was a disaster and because of this people that elect them and the rest of the colombian people have to suffer the mistakes of this "president".In addition , corruption has a method to don't let people talk and this is managing the media , saying that everything is fine when is not , as a consequence many severe problems aren't having as may attention as it needs .In conclusion , Colombia is under the "curse" of a severe corruption by some of the leaders and congresists in the power and it affect a lot in the people , as a solution , manifesting is a very useful method

  10. The most unsafe city in Colombia is its capital.
In bogota there are a lot of tourists who love Bogota because they considerate that its a so beatiful city, due to that they like be here but when you are from bogota or simply you live here, you have another concep about this city. Obviously in a previously moment you loved bogota but you roll with the punches. The worst bogotas social problematic is the unsafety, which make you change your love for this city.

The unsafety in Bogota is a pain in the neck for its citizens due to they cant go out to the street in peace. if you go out, you could find terrible people who want steal you or hurt you. Some people says that the people who dont fell sure in the Bogota streets just are pessimist but it´s not true. The DANE made a investigation about unsafety in Bogota and they saw the city as it really is.

they asked citizens to describe how they feel in Bogota. The 84% citizens said that they don´t feel safe in Bogota but the worst part is that they prefer not to report to the plice because they consider that the autorithies do nothing for solving these problems.

The unsafety problems in Bogota are about thefts and abuses. The DANE investigation want the goberment to give a soon solution because it´s not just a matter of time because this problematic has started getting to citizens and they are really worried about.

What the goberment are going to do? We don´t know but citizens hope to the goberment give a soon solution for improving the situation in bogota. Bogota has a lot of sweetheart people who want to improve this city.

  11. The corruption is biggest social problem of Colombia, it is necessary to define ¿What is corruption? The corruption is the abuse of the power where exist dishonesty, secrecy and the gain of a few and the detriment of much them.
It is a problem that be in much sectors the Colombia, where the law has been designing in a wrong way also introduce the trap culture. In detail the system force peoples to be corrupt. The corrupt affect the economic, politic and increment the poverty of a country.
In my opinion, the corruption can be reduced with to teach the children’s, boys, teens of the importance when we have good action.

In conclusion, we will learn and to teach in topic the honest and additionally, we create anti-corruption observatory. we will have social control.

We will be achieving efficiency in the administration of justice and in the performance of other public authorities.

I think that be or nor corrupt is your own decision because that´s the source of corruption, when you have the freedom of your acts and you make bad decisions and the worse thing is that you know that it´s bad.

  12. The unsafety around Bogotá streets is every time a worse problem, until the point we have to be attentive every second of our pockets, backpacks or things that we take out to the streets. It's almost a joke saying phrases like "I was at 9 pm at the Santa Fe's hood, hahahaha, damn i was so f*ckin lucky not to die" when in the reality it is actually not a funny thing, because that oddballs can smell the rat and they will never give a chance to run away, or worse... you will kick the bucket! Leaving the jokes apart, we can improve that but we need to tackle the roots of the problem, we need to plant culture and values from the home. We need to change the actual educational system and make it something whit what we can change the view of the world to the next genrations, because the education doesn't focus on love the own place in we live, but just adapting other cultures and lose that nationalism.

    1. Coronavirus, Global Epidemic

I consider that biggest problem social is the Coronavirus that is a pain in the neck, because since last year, deaths have been occurring in some countries in Asia. I have been attentive to this problem as cases are increasing in other countries, for this reason i’m pretty serious because i remembered reading differents notice about the coronavirus and i enjoyed learning new things. The coronavirus to started in a China Marketplace and the disease to spread tourists and the Chinese people, spreading in some countries; i’m just a sitting duck with the coronavius because may cause difficulty breathing. Also, Yesterday a plane from China landed in Colombia for some doctors to studied sick patients, And in my opinion Colombian doctors are considered because they will to try help the sick, but it’s just a matter of time we colombian people get this disease. we are washing hands with soap and water frequently, or we are using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Because better safe than sorry. I think that one possible solution is the Colombian government decide not to leave any foreigner as it may increase the risk of contagion.

  13. For me the biggest social problem there is, is the management of technology since now anyone can access it and do whatever they want, this is a big problem since having access to so much information can do many things and even control, with all this information anyone can know where we live, what we do even what we like. The mismanagement of all this has led to things like murder, panic, even the news that have come to bring great social problems. technology and its misuse is consuming us and we do nothing to change this, we only let a few take over and have possession of all this that in the future and in bad hands can generate a big problem and really cause a harm to society

  14. From my point of view, I consider that the biggest social problem is social media. It is true that networks have completely changed our way of life. They emerged as something very positive that allowed us to connect and talk with those people who are far from us, meet new people, among other things, but the abuse of these networks can have negative consequences. For example:
    1. It makes you an antisocial person, we spend more time locked up at home, without having contact with other people.
    2. You comment on everything that comes to your mind and give your opinion on any topic. And all this, without realizing the exposure you are undergoing.
    3. Another problem that social networks cause is addiction to them. And, according to a study carried out by Harvard University, in 2012, the use of social networks activates the same brain area as that activated by drugs.
    4. In addition, it causes you to lose creativity and productivity.
Keep your feet on the ground and remember that networks are not the real world.

    1. I think that is not a problem of the social media. I a coutry like Colombia we have some roots that make us an uneducated society. So that make us more 'uncontrolled' on the social media, we only critize, we are not modest, and escpecially we are uninformed, because we just limit on the facebook publications, on headlines or on fake news, we don't take a step more. If you want to give your point of view, is very important to have a basical knowledge about the topic we will critize, before we make a fool of ourselves.
We got to permit us giving ourselves more information, to read, and the most important thing, to have a critical point of view, to evaluate from ourselves the veracity of the articles we read, to score things like the way of writting, the focusing of the article, and the way it develope itselve, to evaluate how can I use that information part of my own point of view.

  15. At the least, we agree with the fact that corruption is a big problem in our Colombian society.

So, I would like to propose a couple of things that we could do for corruption. A small good act of kindness with others or being a little more honest, for example, when we use the public transportation TM, a small thing that we can do for avoid the corruption is paid for the service and watch over for it. Trying to be honest, polite, and the most important thing, the study. The study can give you learning tools that will allow you think beyond media say and see the reality in other ways, not just what the corruption wants you to know. All this can be complemented with reading another information sources and another kind of news.

Another solution that I propose is seen from politicians and government function side, they must apply the correct law in all corruption cases and we as citizens must keep on eye on those process.

Colombia could change at least a little with
